ACTIVATE THE VIBRATIONS WITHIN YOU
Sound therapy has many benefits and as we become more aware of just what they are, we are becoming more accepting of its holistic approach to relaxation and healing. It offers the perfect solution to reducing the everyday stresses of modern life.
Sound therapy is used to facilitate a shift in your brainwave state through frequency, vibration and entrainment. Sound can help down-shift our normal (beta) state or waking consciousness to a more relaxed state. Through the use of sound, most people are able to reach a meditative state where internal healing can occur. This experience is helpful for anyone who wants to give themselves a moment of relaxation or gain the benefits from meditation, but has not yet learned how to access it on their own.
For beginners, meditation can be a challenge, often requiring verbal guidance. Sound meditation is about letting the sound take you to a deeper place making it easier to achieve a relaxed state without complicating how to get there. Sound is the vessel that allows you to explore and identify what a meditative state is and how it feels. Because of this, sound meditation is beneficial for beginner as well as the seasoned meditator.
The sounds are created by a wide range of instruments with different frequencies which can include pulse drumming, tuning forks, gongs, shruti box, Himalayan singing bowl, various percussion, chimes, and overtone singing.
Private Sound Meditations
Sound treatments are private sessions and may be combined with massage or bodywork for the ultimate experience. The treatment is done with the client fully clothed or with proper covering if combined with massage. Himalayan singing bowls designed specifically for therapeutic use can be place either on or around the body. A soft mallet is used to strike the bowls creating sound and vibration.
GET STARTEDGroup Sound Meditations
Sound meditation or sound immersions can accommodate groups of people where each person has their own personal space. The experience begins with each person lying down on a comfortable mat often with a bolster and blanket. Various instruments are played so that the space is filled with sounds and frequencies introduced in succession.
